They work in close relation with the system analysts, technicians and departmental heads of companies. The work of the project manager and network engineer is sometimes combined. They are employed by IT companies to provide services to their clients, which may include financial, government, educations and commercial entities. A number of larger businesses employ network engineers or specialists on a permanent basis.
