I’d only been in the Department a few months, still finding my way around. When I went for the interview I was really nervous. It’s a formal interview. I was trying to be patient, and spent a lot of time just checking my knowledge base. It went brilliantly! I’d done the right thing, been careful to make sure I knew the regulations, and everything clicked! Just goes to show, when you really know your stuff, interviews are easy! Good jump in pay, too, did wonders for my confidence. The moral of the story is “Get it right”.

An interview is much like an exam. You need to learna bout the company and study basic information about them, as well as prepare yourself thoroughly for any hard questions they might have for you. Anticipating answers to questions before the interview will make it go smoother and make you look more capable. Briefing yourself on information about the company is just good sense. It shows you are interested and really want a job.
