The project managers are employed in enterprises that have large IT systems. They are responsible for the coordination and execution of plans to meet their enterprise and the clients IT needs. The work entails management of the projects and the workers involved. Work includes installations, management of financial software systems, large databases, upgrading and maintenance of communication systems etc. They also do risk analysis, schedule projects, estimate costs and report findings.

Qualifications
A diploma or degree in project management and IT related qualifications are required. You can become an IT project manager if you are already in the IT field for a number of years and have some management experience.
