Responsibilities included: supervising the Property Officers (Evidence Officers) assigned to Property Control, ensuring the property/evidence in the custody of property control was collected, handled, stored, documented and disposed of in a manner which insured the integrity of the items and was in compliance of all laws and department policies, collecting property/evidence from temporary lockers. Examined evidence submitted for proper packaging and seals in compliance with department guidelines. Performed data entry and documented evidence into the Barcode Evidence Analysis, Statistics and Tracking System (BEAST). Documented all activities and movements of the items while in the custody of property control in the BEAST in order to properly establish a chain of custody.
