Summer Camp Wages

To most people, the most important aspect of any job is the amount of money one can make doing it. At summer camps, there is no set amount that is given. Rates vary depending on experience, certification, and length of employment.

For example, someone who is a returning counselor or is CPR certified will most likely start out with a higher salary than someone who is entry level and uncertified.

Still, a summer camp job is a fairly good money maker. For one, you do not have to worry about buying food or renting a room when working at a summer camp because these things are free for you. This allows you to save more and spend less, a definite plus for any job hunter.

The American Camping Association says that summer camp employees can make anywhere from $1000-$3,000 for a season, and certified staff members or skilled professionals can make up to $4,000.
