Temping Assignments

Depending on your needs, you might ask the questions listed below in a different order or even different questions. What is important, is that you have a list of questions that will give you the information you need to enable to determine whether you want to accept the assignment being offered to you.

For example, if you know you will accept nothing under $12, then that might be your first question. On the other hand, if the type of company is most important to you, then that will probably be your first question.

It's a good idea to have your questions typed up/written and next to your telephone so that you will be prepared when a call comes in from one of your temporary help services.

  • Name/Type of Company i They might not give you the name until you accept, but they should be able to let you know the type of company
  • When does the job begin? What are the hours?
  • What is the position?
  • Responsibilities?
  • Why do they need a temporary worker?
  • Atmosphere of company?
  • Pay rate?
  • Length of assignment?
  • Anything special I should know about the client?
  • What has the client's experience has been with temporary workers?

Once you know you're going to accept the assignment, make sure you get this information: Address/Telephone Number/Floor/Contact/Directions
